Top of the rocks

Third day. Thought i should have a walk about Mid-town and see the Rockerfellar centre. Its pretty grandiose spead over a whole block. Saw a pret-a-manger. Suprised at the lack of Starbucks.
Had a walk around the ice-rink full of teenagers. Pretty amazing rink, surrounded by statues and tall skyscrappers. Went up in the lift to the "top of the rock" viewing tower.

Three platforms with amazing views of the city. Wasnt too cold so spent ages just staring out past central park and uptown. After my fill of magnificent views I headed towards the St Patricks. Church was surrounded by newer buildings and it seemt that locals were using it as a mini refuge from the toils of city life.
Got the subway and headed for the American Museum of Natural History. Spent ages walking around, they had a pretty good dinosaur floor. Also went to the Imax and the observatory. A nice day all in all.

After leaving the museum headed towards Greenwich village for some food. Went to a restaurant recommended by Lonely Planet. Had the pork chop - which was huge. It was as tick as three normal chops - no joke. After trying to eat it in a dignified manner - which i failed at i soaked up the atmosphere. Pretty cool restaurant. Then headed back to the hostel as my feet were aching. Took my shoes off and realised that my feet were swollen. Nice.
